How to Control Constipation

Most of the nutritionists are united at the point that the main cause of the constipation is irregular diet or diet which is rich in fat, meat and dairy products and lack in fiber. There are certain other causes like immobility or hormonal changes during the time of pregnancy and hemorrhoids.
Constipation is common in all age people. It can often occur in one’s life depending upon different reasons. There is nothing to worry about this disease as there are many laxative or pharmaceutical medications available to relieve you from this disease. However, doctors usually advise to take due care in using those laxatives as they have some severe side effects if taken frequently. That is the reason most of the people diverting to natural treatments instead of taking high doses of drugs. It is said that prevention is better than treatment. So, it is better to spare some time for your body and do take some simple exercises to keep your body fit and healthy. Physical exercises and treatment both together will produce healthy results.

- Firstly, you need to change your eating habits. Try to use fiber rich diet like mango, papaya, olives, dried apricots, plums, grapes, walnuts, dates and figs, pineapple, avocado and coconut. One should devise a diet which is rich in fiber to keep you healthy and prevent constipation.
- Secondly, avoid taking fat rich foods like meat, nuts, dairy products and high processed food.
- Thirdly, drink as much water as you can. It has been seen that one major cause of constipation is lack of water in the body. Drinking water doesn’t mean that you drink it in tea, coffee or in form of other soft drinks. Eight glasses per day are ideally works for your body.
It is better to think twice before taking the laxative pills to relive yourself. However you have the better option of natural treatment which is simple, easy and free of any side effects. Eat healthy, stay healthy.
